در این پژوهش اثرات ضدمیکروبی عصاره اتانولی، متانولی و آبی تهیه شده از برگ و پیاز شش گونه Fessia بر روی رشد تعدادی از میکروارگانیسم‌ها شامل باسیلوس انتراسیس، استافیلوکوک اورئوس، کلبسیلا نومونیه و کاندیدا آلبیکانس مورد بررسی قرارگرفت. نمونه‌های گیاهی از رویشگاه‌های طبیعی جمع‌آوری و سپس مورد شناسایی قرارگرفتند. برای بررسی‌های ضدمیکروبی از روش چاهک‌گذاری وMIC (حداقل غلظت بازدارندگی) استفاده گردید. نتایج در این تحقیق حاکی ازعدم کارایی عصاره‌های آبی و متانولی حاصل از پیاز و برگ بر روی کلیه میکروارگانیسم‌ها هستند. عصاره‌های اتانولی تهیه شده از برگ و پیاز Fessia khorassanica اثر مهاری بالایی نسبت به شاهد بر روی کاندیدا آلبیکانس داشته است.
