Aims of the Journal

The journal of Nova Biologica Reperta (NBR) is a scientific, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Kharazmi University, Iran. The primary aims of the journal of Nova Biologica Reperta (NBR) are: 

  1. Promotion of Scientific Knowledge: To advance and disseminate high-quality research in all fields of Biological Sciences, including but not limited to General Biology, Cell Biology, Physiology, Developmental Biology, Taxonomy, Geographic Distribution, Marine Biology, Botany, Genetics, Zoology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Anatomy, Microbiology, Virology, Environmental Sciences, and Ecology.

  2. Open Access and Global Reach: To provide a platform for open-access publication, ensuring that research findings are freely available to the global scientific community, thereby enhancing the visibility and impact of the published work.

  3. Support for Researchers: To support researchers by offering a publication venue without charging any submission or publication fees, and by providing free color printing and a complimentary copy of the journal to the corresponding author of each article.

  4. Encouragement of Multidisciplinary Research: To encourage the submission of original research papers, notes, short communications, and book reviews that contribute to the multidisciplinary understanding of biological sciences.

  5. Peer-Reviewed Excellence: To maintain the highest standards of scientific integrity and quality through a rigorous peer-review process, ensuring that all published articles meet the criteria of originality, significance, and methodological soundness.

  6. Cultural and Linguistic Inclusivity: To publish articles in both Persian and English, thereby supporting the dissemination of scientific knowledge within the local Iranian academic community as well as the international scientific community.
